With the help of the pension calculator it is possible to calculate before retirement, how big the state pension or the first pillar pension will be.
If you already have a old-age pension, you can see what parts your pension is made up of.
The calculator is pre-filled with the data that the Social Insurance Board already has:
- Social Insurance Board have the pension insurance periods which is calculated from 1 January 1999. Since then, the pension insurance period has been calculated on the basis of the social tax.
- There is possibility, that the calculator does not show data on pensionable service periods accumulated up to the end of 1998. Pensionable service period is calculated on the basis of the entries in the workbook and other documents. Thus, once the workbook has been submitted to the Social Insurance Board, the calculator has also shows pensionable service until the end of 1998. If this box is blank but you have worked during this time, please bring your workbook to the Social Insurance Board.
You can change all your data in the calculator and see how adding length of service, insurance, or parenting data would change the amount of your pension.
