Conscript service begins with entering into service. Arrival at the unit is considered entering into service. The conscript may be subject to a medical examination upon arrival, if necessary. If within 14 days of the commencement of conscript service, circumstances arise which the call-up selectee has an obligation to disclose (based on clause 40 (1) 6) of the Military Service Act), the defence resources agency does not consider the person to have entered conscript service on the proposal of the defence forces and the person continues to be a call-up selectee.
