Finding partners on international markets

Business partners can be found with the help of the state, European Union institutions, professional associations and trade organisations, as well as through public databases.

State support

Entrepreneurs are supported by Estonian ambassadors, economic diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Enterprise Estonia export team.

European Union institutions and organisations

One source for finding partners is European Union institutions and the websites and databases created by them.

  • Information on business opportunities and regulations in EU countries can be found through the European Union’s single points of contact.
  • The European Commission’s business information website Your Europe provides practical information on business opportunities in EU countries and access to public e-services.
  • The European Business Register consolidates data from the official business registers of each Member State.

Trading organisations and professional associations

Private-sector trade organisations offer a wide range of services and good direct contacts with similar organisations abroad.

The Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry helps find partners through the international cooperation network Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), which is one of the world’s largest innovation and business support organisations, operating in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Agricultural enterprises can contact the Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce to establish contacts.
