The “Settle in Estonia” programme provides essential information that will make your adaptation to life in Estonia easier. You will get an overview of how Estonian society and the state work, steps to ensure you get the support and services you are eligible for,  and how to fulfil your obligations to the state as set by law. These will help you take care of any challenges with ease.

The adaptation programme consists of several training courses called modules. There is a basic module providing essential information, and there are topical modules. Most modules last for 1 day (7–8 hours). Please note that you might not be eligible for all modules provided by the programme, and not all modules may be available at all times.

The basic module covers the most important information about the Estonian state, society and culture.

More specific information is provided within topical modules:

• Work module gives information about job market and work life in Estonia.
• The entrepreneurship module gives an overview of the issues and questions related to starting or engaging in entrepreneurship in Estonia.
• The family life module is helpful for those settling in Estonia with a family.
• The studying module covers the most important topics that all foreign students or foreigners, in general, should know about the education system in Estonia and other related matters.
• The research module is primarily meant for foreign researchers and students who have moved to Estonia by way of research mobility.

Additionally, Estonian language training is offered to third-country nationals. Available levels are A1, A2 and B1. The A1 level course lasts approximately 3 months (100 academic hours), the A2 level course approximately 5 months (150 academic hours) and the B1 level course approximately 8 months (250 academic hours).
