If one of the spouses has confirmed the application for divorce in the e-population register, the other spouse can give their consent to submit the application in this step and pay the state fee. By giving consent and paying the state fee the application has been submitted and it goes to the vital statistics officer of the local government of the county center for processing.
This step is not distinguished when submitting an application on the spot in the local government of the county center or at a notary, because in this case the spouses simultaneously express their desire to divorce by signing the application.
Once the application has been submitted, a 1-3 month reflection period begins until the agreed time for divorce.

If one of the spouses has confirmed the application for divorce in the e-population register, the other spouse is sent a notice to e-mail that the application is now awaiting their approval. Also the applicant themselves can request the spouse to log in to the e-population register in order to add their own confirmation to the application.
The spouse gives their consent to submit an application for divorce in the e-population register confirming the application and paying a state fee. Then, the joint application of the spouses is automatically forwarded to the local government of the county center.
Both spouses can see the submitted application in the e-population register. You can no longer change the application there, for that you have to contact the authority where the divorce application was submitted.
If a joint application for divorce is submitted on the spot with the vital statistics officer of the local government of the county center or notary, by signing the application, both spouses express their desire to divorce at the same time.
If the spouses wish to file a petition for divorce on the spot, but cannot go to the registry office or a notary together for good reasons, one of the spouses may file a separate notarized application. A separate application can be sent to the vital statistics officer or notary public who is processing the divorce, for example by e-mail or post.
If the spouse does not consent to the divorce application in the e-population register within 30 days, the application will be cancelled.
If one of the spouses does not want to divorce, the other spouse can submit a statement of claim to the court for divorce.
Contact the institution were you wish to carry out the divorce.
