The local authority decides whether to register your place of residence in the Population Register within 10 working days of receiving your notice of residence.
You can only submit a notice of residence to the e-Population Register if you have all of the necessary information and documents (e.g. consent). If all of the required information and documents haven't been submitted, contact your local government / Tallinn city district government for advice.
If you wish to terminate the validity of your residence details, you must submit a notice of residence with your new residence details. The registration of the new residence automatically ends the validity of the former residence.
If you want to register your minor child's place of residence, you'll need to submit the consent of the other parent. If you have sole custody of your minor child, the other parent's consent isn't needed.
You can submit or update your contact details (telephone and email) and additional addresses in the e-population under the "My details" menu. The new data will be immediately entered in the population register.
